About Us

Originally opened by Frenchman Dominique Levet in the early 2000's, the No Name Shop in Sandwich has become something of an institution in the town's historic centre.

Located in a historic listed building on Sandwich's Market Square, the No Name has supplied fresh and ambient produce from France and mainland Europe for nearly two decades.

Buoyed by the early success of the shop in Sandwich, Dominique then took the plunge and opened the second No Name Shop, in the heart of Deal's boutique High Street.

No Name has become a byword for quality fresh products, from freshly baked bread, baguettes and pastries, to fine pâtisserie, hot and cold sweet and savoury snacks, home-made quiches, frittata and soups, filled baguettes and light bites, and an enviable selection of high quality continental cheeses, charcuterie, olives and antipasti. On both shops' shelves you will find a variety of treats from France and beyond including mustards, sauces, oils and vinegars, biscuits, fruit sirops and handmade homewares and soaps.

Under new ownership since March 2020, No Name is also a hub for great coffee, hot and cold drinks and snacks to eat 'sur place' or take away. The shop and Bistro in Sandwich are fully licensed and although the Bistro kitchen is currently closed for refurbishment, the seating area upstairs is comfortable and welcoming to those enjoying light refreshments. During the Summer months, our outdoor Terrasse provides a lovely al fresco setting from which you can enjoy a refreshing drink and snack whilst watching the world go by.

Both shops also offer a range of gift options, from No Name vouchers to bespoke hampers and gift packages, and are always happy to discuss your specific requirements, including making accommodations for specific dietary requirements and food allergies.

Do pop in and pay us a visit, or follow us on social media for the latest news and updates: we look forward to meeting you!
